ABOUT US
Joe Hornor began restoring and refinishing at the age of 8 (a very long time ago!!!). His first piece was his grandfather's desk -still in use. Restoration became a hobby over the years with close friends and family asking him to work on their antiques and fine furniture. Referrals continued and what had been a hobby soon became a vocation.
In 1990, Joe and his wife, Vivian (a fifth generation Texan) opened Little Jack Horner's. Since then, the company has continued to grow and expand its capacity and services. With the most recent move into a new 4,000 square foot facility, Little Jack Horner's can now offer custom furniture fabrication in addition to furniture restoration.
Vivian and Joe both grew up with many family heirlooms - some dating back to the mid-1800s. The majority of these family pieces are still being used in their home today. Teenagers and grandchildren have all been raised with them as part of their heritage. This life-long exposure created a love of antiques and the desire that they be preserved for the future, as well as the basis for the knowledge of what restoration technique or style is appropriate to a particular piece of furniture.

When you visit the shop, be sure to ask to meet Cooper - he loves to make
new friends! |

This rolltop desk was restored for a client whose father (an actor) was given it by Milburn Stone - "Doc" on Gunsmoke. It's the desk "Doc" used on the set of the popular tv show.
