RESTORED FURNITURE WORK

An early 1900's china cabinet in quarter sawn oak.   A fabulous piece that had definitely seen better days.

We restored the china cabinet to like new condition, including resilvering the mirror, and replacing the bent glass.

This Victorian walnut settee was damaged by movers. The frame was in over thirty pieces when we started the restoration.

We fabricated new front legs, repaired and reassembled the frame, finished it to the original color and completely reupholstered it.

Old trunks are real family heirlooms. How wonderful they look when restored to their like-new condition.

See the contact page for another trunk we restored for the same client.

A client found this Victorian era, Heywood Wakefield wicker & wood rocker at a sale and knew we could restore the diamond in the rough to its original condition. The back panel is hand caned in a Star of David pattern.

In the late 1800's, Solomon Karpen founded S. Karpen & Bros. Furniture in Chicago. It became the largest upholstered furniture manufacturer in the world.

These 1920's rockers belonged to our client's mother who "repaired" the cane backs with nylon stockings. Her grandchildren now enjoy the full restored rocking chairs.

This dresser is part of a six piece bedroom set.

It was dropped by the movers, damaging the end, feet, drawers, doors, and top.  A replacement was not available from the manufacturer.

One step at a time, the damage was all repaired and the finish restored. Most of the damage is now undetectable.

This is a very old, previously painted, handmade child's chair. It had been poorly repaired many times during it's lifetime.

Now it is restored for future generations.
